Telluride might be tiny, but it packs a whole lotta goings on into it’s calendar!
On any given night in town there can be reggae, funk, rock, jazz, electronica, dj’s spinning, or bluegrass music. Local bands or nationally known names- it’s all a full musical potpurri.
Several venues in the town of Telluride allow for music lovers to take it all in; The Fly Me to The Moon Saloon, The Llamma, The Bubble Lounge, Sheridan Opera House, and/or The Steaming Bean. Wednesday nights in the summertime features The Sunset Concert Series in the Mountain Village. A FREE concert weekly. You are encouraged to bring a picnic and sit on the lawn, dance, socialize and watch the sunset while enjoying some music. This past week featured the Stone Foxes– rock and roll from San Fransisco.
Thursday night the Llamma had Jeff Coffin and The Mutet. Jeff is a Grammy winning saxophone player who has toured with Dave Mathews Band, Bela Fleck to name a few.
Apparently the show was off the hook!
Monday night at the historic Sheridan Opera House will feature Indie Rock band Blind Pilot
Americana Music Fest is a newish addition to the Telluride music scene and will be running from July 21-23.
Get ready to get down and funky this week with Maceo Parker. Playing July 22 at the Palm.
