Recreation in the Telluride Region

Boating, Climbing, Hiking, Fishing, Biking, oh my!
So much to do and see in our backyard this summer.

The San Miguel River is running at an all time high right now. You can call any one of the rafting companies; San Miguel Anglers, Bootdoctors, or Telluride Outside to schedule a full or half day rafting adventure.

Rock Climbing opportunities abound! Within a 15-30 minute drive there are multiple different (different rock types) places to enjoy yourself; Ophir Wall, Cracked Canyon, Falls Wall, Pipeline Wall, Society Turn, Bilk Creek, Illium Valley boulders, Clay Creek, Sesame Street, Bear Creek boulder and the mine boulders.

Hiking in and around Telluride there are so many trails! You can easily walk out your door and hike the Jud Weibe loop, Bridal Veil, Bear Creek, Wasatch, Boomerang, River Trail, etc. www.telluridehikingguide.com or http://www.visittelluride.com/things-to-do/hiking

Biking in and around Telluride offers yet another perspective on this gorgeous region;

Fly Fishing in the gold metal waters of the San Miguel, Dolores or any of the creeks is a serene way to spend the day. Right now some of the rivers/creeks may be too high, but that’s where locales like Woods Lake come into play. www.visittelluride.com/things-to-do/fishing

These are but a few suggestions of the many, many outdoor opportunities you can pursue in the San Juans this summer!

Get outside and play!
